FF Pickups Week 4

Last week, I told you to pick up Andre Brown, Mikel Leshoure and Dennis Pitta to name a few. I hope that you got at least one of them, because they are now looking like every week starts, at least for your “FLEX”. Here are my pickups of week #4 followed by a great recipe for beef Tri-Tip.

This week the waiver pickin’s are slimmer, but due to some injuries and the start of bye weeks, you may have to consider picking one of the following up for this week and possibly more.

Week 4 Pickups (by position)

Tashard Choice

Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller are likely out this week meaning Tashard will be the Bills choice at running back. He had 91 yards last week and makes for a decent FLEX play if you need to cover a bye week. Check your favorite news site to see if either of the two previously mentioned backs is suiting up before starting or picking him up.

Daniel Thomas

Filling in for the injured Reggie Bush, Daniel had 80 total yards and a score. He may not be the best pickup of the week, but if you need to fill your FLEX or if you just want to keep you opponent from filling theirs, grab him if you have roster space.

Bilal Powell

Again, not the best “choice” but if you are in dire straits and need to fill your FLEX, go ahead and roster powell. He may even pay off for you in the long term.

Jerome Simpson

Ponder this? Who is playing very well right now and looking for more weapons? How about whose suspension is over and ready to get back on the field? The answer to the second question is Jerome simpson and you better pick him up. The answer to the first question is my only QB pickup recommendation.

TY Hilton

As I mentioned in the notable injuries section of my last post, Austin Collie is done for the season. This means the “HOTEL” moves up the depth chart and is now the third wideout for the Colts. He is on a bye week, but if you need long term help and have the roster spot, sure pull the trigger, if not, wait until next week.

Christian Ponder

All he did was be in the top five at his position last week against the 49ers. He makes for a nice QB2 and bye week replacement for your team. Also, he could be a nice fill-in for all your Stafford owners out there.

Heath Miller

He probably isn’t available in your league because a STEELERS fan probably has them as their back-up, but if for some reason he is, grab him to be your #2 and possibly more. Ben is targeting him often (10 last week) plus he scored twice. He is another that is on a bye and may even be dropped. I say you can do worse as a #2
