Week 21 was a decent one for the FANFOOD 2 for 2. Out of 4 starts, most of them were quality, but one was disastrous. Here are the results followed by a great recipe, this time it’s Cognac Bacon Cheeseburgers.

Week 21

FANFOOD goes 3 for 4

Season: .658 (52 for 79)

1. Chris Tillman

Orioles pitcher Chris Tillman was unable to factor into the decision Saturday night at home against the Twins. The right-hander permitted one run on six hits and three walks while striking out six in a 3-2 victory. Tillman has allowed one earned run or fewer in each of his last three starts. He owns a 3.36 ERA and a 1.22 WHIP over 29 starts (176 2/3 innings). In his other start of the week, Chris won his 11th game Monday against the Rays. Tillman allowed one unearned run on three hits over seven innings. He struck out two and walked two during the outing. Tillman gave up his only run in the third inning. Tillman allowed a leadoff single to open the frame. The next batter should have resulted in an out, but a missed catch by the second baseman caused Jose Molina to reach on an error. Yunel Escobar was able to advance to third on the play. The next batter hit into a double play. While Tillman was able to pick up two outs, Escobar was able to score on the play. The run was not charged to Tillman due to the error.

2. Kyle Lohse

It was a tale of two starts for the Brewers pitcher, as he was roughed up by the Giants in San Francisco on Sunday, and allowed one run in six innings in win vs. Padres on Monday. He horrible start dropped him to 12-9 on the year. The right-hander was shelled for seven runs on nine hits and two walks while striking out three over 5 2/3 innings of work. He owns a 3.68 ERA and a 1.21 WHIP over 27 starts (171 1/3 innings). His next start will come Saturday at home against St. Louis. But on a positive note, he gave up just one earned run on four hits and four walks in six innings and striking out five in his team’s 10-1 victory over the Padres. He was making his first start in 12 days after battling an ankle issue, and he was able to pitch around his highest walk total since early April and maintain the big lead provided by his offense.
