Drink of The Weekend August 16th

Welcome to the next edition of  the FANFOOD Drink of the Weekend. Every weekend we will provide you with recipes for great drinks that are perfect for your backyard BBQ, or at your next tailgate party.

 

This week it’s The Black Shadow

 

If you like bourbon and black berries you’ll be liking this beverage.  After you make your fresh blackberry puree, store it in the fridge for up to 3 days.  Use any leftovers as a topping for ice cream or pancakes.

 

 

INGREDIENTS

1 ½ oz. Bourbon
¾ oz. raspberry liqueur
1 ½ oz. Blackberry Puree
1 oz. lemon juice
1 oz. sweet & sour mix
½ oz. simple syrup

PREPARATION

Place a pint of blackberries in the bowl of a food processor
Process until pureed.
Strain through a fine mesh sieve set over a medium bowl; discard solids. Set aside
Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled glass.

 

High Heat ,
